James Wood hit a three-run home run, Brady House had three hits and the host Washington Nationals rallied for a 9-3 win against the New York Mets, taking the rubber game of the series Thursday.
Riley Adams added two hits for the Nationals, who got 4 2/3 scoreless innings from their bullpen.
Jackson Rutledge (2-2) got the final two outs of the fifth for the win and Jose A. Ferrer pitched 1 1/3 innings for his fourth save as Washington completed a 4-3 homestand.
Francisco Lindor had three hits including a home run and Starling Marte also homered for New York, which led 3-0 in the fourth.
Sean Manaea (1-2) allowed four runs on three hits in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out eight, walked one and hit two batters.
Washington starter MacKenzie Gore allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings.
Lindor led off the game with a homer, and he singled leading off the third but was picked off. One out later, Marte's homer increased the Mets' lead to 2-0.
In the top of the fourth, Brett Baty singled with one out. Tyrone Taylor walked and Cedric Mullins singled to load the bases. Hayden Senger's sacrifice fly made it 3-0.
Washington quickly got a run back. CJ Abrams struck out on a wild pitch and was safe at first. Andres Chaparro singled and Adams was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Dylan Crews hit a grounder up the middle and was out at first as Abrams scored from third.
The Nationals took the lead in the fifth. House led off with a single, Jacob Young bunted and both runners were safe when House beat the throw to second. With one out, Manaea hit Abrams to load the bases and Paul DeJong followed with a sacrifice fly to make it 3-2.
After Chaparro walked, Tyler Rogers replaced Manaea and Adams smacked a two-run single to center, giving Washington a 4-3 lead.
In the sixth, Daylen Lile singled, stole second and scored on Young's single off the glove of a diving Mullins in center to make it 5-3.
Washington broke it open late as Wood capped a four-run eighth with his 26th home run of the season.
