The Baltimore Ravens and free agent defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul agreed to a contract on Thursday, multiple media outlets reported.
NFL Network reported it was a one-year deal worth up to $5.5 million.
The 33-year-old is a three-time Pro Bowl selection who recorded 91.5 career sacks for the New York Giants (2010-17) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2018-21). The Buccaneers did not move to bring Pierre-Paul back after the 2021 season, when he posted 2.5 sacks in 12 games.
Baltimore, which reportedly had talked with Pierre-Paul for "months," hosted him for a workout on Tuesday.
The Ravens needed pass rushers after Steven Means was lost for the season with a ruptured Achilles. The team was down to two healthy outside linebackers as of this week. Pierre-Paul could play outside linebacker or defensive end in a 3-4 defense because of his size and athletic ability.
Pierre-Paul also has 603 tackles, 21 forced fumbles, 10 fumble recoveries and 61 pass breakups in his 12-year career. He won two Super Bowl rings, one each with New York and Tampa Bay.
