(Miami, FL/November 2021) - Pathwaves Inc. and Larkin University are proud to announce their strategic collaboration in the field of Mental Health to conduct clinical research in the areas of Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Acute Stress Reactions, and their treatment.
Larkin University (LU), founded in 2013 as Larkin Health Sciences Institute, is a not-for-profit educational institution that offers graduate degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy. LU was created to support the education and health care needs of the diverse communities of South Florida. The institution is focused on master's and doctoral level programs in health professions to empower diverse graduates who reflect the demographics of the healthcare needs of the communities they serve.
Pathwaves is a neurotechnology company that has successfully established a tracked, evidence-based process that quantifies and improves cognitive mental, and emotional function. Their proprietary methodology, NeuroEmpowermentTM is a unique combination of integrative biofeedback and coaching, coupled with therapeutic and mindfulness techniques, specifically designed to provide natural and sustainable improvements and relief from anxiety, depression, sleep issues, ADD/ADHD, and an array of other symptoms. The process is based on the science of neuroplasticity -the brain's ability to re-wire itself and build new, healthier neural connections.
"Our revolutionary approach will require strong collaboration between academic research and our team to harness its full potential" said Geoff Cole, Pathwaves' Principal Investigator, Founder, and CEO. "We look forward to expanding our relationship with Larkin University as we work together to discover breakthrough solutions for patients."
The collaboration will involve faculty and researchers from the LU College of Biomedical Sciences and the LU College of Pharmacy and envisions expansion to other areas to further utilize the range of expertise at the two institutions.
"This strategic agreement links our two organizations in a commitment to scientific research supporting the global mental health needs of patients, especially in these difficult and unprecedented times." said LU President, Dr. Rudi H Ettrich, "It is truly amazing to see what Pathwaves has achieved already and to explore the vast potential of their methodology, we are very excited to announce this Partnership!"
