ALLIE CARLSON AND JENNA MESIGIAN JOIN DAKESSIAN LAW LTD
Firm Adds Experienced Duo to Bolster Multistate Tax Capabilities
Los Angeles, CA: Dakessian Law Ltd, one of the pre-eminent firms in the field of California taxation, is excited to announce the addition of Aradhana ("Allie") Carlson and Jennafer Mesigian as Of Counsel to the firm. In response to client demand for strategic advice and representation regarding multistate matters, the firm has added this talented duo to work with managing partner Marty Dakessian to expand the firm's Multistate Controversy Practice.
Regarding the announcement, Carlson said, "I'm excited to be working again with two of my former colleagues to help expand Dakessian Law's multistate practice. It is great to be doing so in the fantastic environment Marty and his team have created. My experience on both the client side and on the practitioner side should bring another dimension to the firm's multistate capabilities. Jenna and I will complement one another. My focus is more on indirect taxes, while Jenna's focus is more on income tax. This will bring the firm flexibility and broad coverage in different jurisdictions."
Mesigian said, "I'm looking forward to helping Marty build out the multistate practice based on the same high level of service he has become known for in California. Allie and I will cover all types of tax between the two of us. And with Marty's existing team, we will be available to help clients in all 50 states. It is great to be working with both of them as well as the great team Marty has in place." Asked about the expansion into multistate tax and how Carlson and Mesigian will help the firm's clients, Dakessian said, "I founded the firm based on our core competency, which is representing clients in California tax disputes. In the nearly six years since that time, our clients have been asking whether we can represent them at the same high level in other jurisdictions. What Allie and Jenna bring to the table is a combined over 30 years of experience in multistate SALT. They are both well regarded and respected in the industry with experience in Big Law, the Big 4, and in-house. I know them from our days together at Reed Smith. They are both talented, hard-working, and great to work with. Our clients will be well served by their counsel and perspective."
Dakessian Law serves corporate clients in a broad range of industries such as healthcare, technology, real estate, finance, retail and consumer products, and energy. The firm's clients include Fortune 500 companies, global institutions, high net-worth individuals, and other businesses. Dakessian Law also represents high net worth individuals at all levels of the administrative process and in court regarding disputes over their residency status, as well as issues involving the sourcing of major items of income.
Dakessian Law, widely known as one of the nation's preeminent California Tax Controversy law firms, was founded by Mardiros ("Marty") Dakessian in 2016. The five-lawyer boutique is headquartered in Los Angeles, with a satellite office in Sacramento.
