Greg Olsen has his future plans aligned.
The 35-year-old Seattle Seahawks tight end will step in as Fox's No. 2 NFL game analyst whenever he retires from playing, multiple media outlets reported Monday.
Olsen will work alongside Kevin Burkhardt, potentially as soon as during the playoffs after the upcoming season, should Seattle fail to qualify, according to multiple reports.
Burkhardt formerly teamed with Charles Davis, who moved from Fox to CBS this year.
According to the New York Post, Olsen pondered retirement earlier this year to accept a role with Fox, but in February he signed a one-year, $7 million deal to join the Seahawks.
Olsen has made cameo appearances as a broadcaster during his teams' bye weeks and while out injured. He also teamed with Burkhardt to announce an XFL game this year.
Olsen played the past nine years with the Carolina Panthers, earning three Pro Bowl selections, but he was released as the team didn't want to pay his $11,675,000 salary-cap figure for 2020.
A first-round pick of the Bears in 2007, Olsen played four years in Chicago before he was traded to Carolina in July 2011.
In 14 games last year, Olsen had 52 receptions for 597 yards and two touchdowns, raising his career totals to 718-8,444-59.
